Two words for you : Death Magnetic. I'm pumped for the newest Metallica release. The 30 second samples on the Border's computer makes me giddy for this new release!
Oh yeah. Week three of the Fall school starts tomorrow. Going good so far. Having a hard time securing employment, though. It seems that all job openings in the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon/Maryville area have been taken. I've put in applications with Borders, Best Buy, Blockbuster, Kerasotes Theater, St. Louis Bread Co., and Wal Mart. Pretty much I've been told that they will be hiring for Seasonal help in October....I guess I'll apply for them and if nothing pops up by then I'll have employment for a couple of months and them might have the opportunity to continue employment with them after that. Fingers crossed. I really hope I have something before then, though. I don't want to have to dip too far into my savings. There is a possibility with UPS in Alton. The main drag for me, though, is that they're hiring for a 3am-9am shift. I would have to be waking up at about 1:30 am. My roommate would be just going to bed when I'm waking up! In order to get a decent amount of sleep I'd be going to bed by what...7pm. I would be a living zombie. Plus I just don't know that I'm up to such demanding work as UPS requires. Off to the next job prospect, please. :)
I do have a really great family, though. My oldest brother is sending me some money to help me out. That is REALLY great of him! He really believes I should be in school now and wanted to help me out while I'm struggling to find employment. I did find a really great church in the area. It's the newest campus in a multi-campus church in the St. Louis area called The Journey. The Edwardsville Metro East Campus which officially launches next month has about 40 30-something adults. They're big about getting involved in the community. It has a wonderful pastor and a great group of people involved. We currently have service at 6pm on Sundays so I can sleep in!
